
Madhuri dixit was an Indian actress who is well-known for her role in the films 'Beta' "Saajan" and "Hum Aapke Hain Koun . Her professional career started in the early 1980s. She became famous due to her role as a supporting actor in the movie Tezaab. In the following film, she starred in the film "Dil" where she shared the screen space alongside Aamir Khan. Her family was raised in Mumbai by a middle-class family. As a child she started to study dance. She began acting as a youngster and struggled for several years because most of her initial films ended up being flops. She was successful, and soon went on to become a leading actress in the Indian film industry. She took a break from her profession following her wedding and then returned to the entertainment business. Dixit was also an integral character in the movie 'Gulaab Gang,' that focused on the struggles of women from India. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. She won eight. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian honour. She is also well-known for her charitable work.
