Hossack lived in Steinbach the province of Manitoba in Canada. Her musical theater experience began as a young student in Killarney, a town in Manitoba. In the beginning of with her Brandon University education, she took a major in piano. She changed from piano to vocal. When she graduated she admitted that she was interested in acting with no desire to pursue drama. She was a fine arts student at the Banff School of Fine Arts shortly after she finished her studies at Brandon. When she completed her college education, Hossack performed on the stage during her first festival, the Muskoka Festival in Ontario as also at the Rainbow Stage at Winnipeg. Other World (from 1989 to 1992), Cobra (from 1993-1992), Hope Island, (1999) as well as Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital (2003). Her Canadian television show in the role of Falcon Beach was in 2006. Hossack was a guest on appearances on television shows like Sliders, Mysterious Ways, and Mysterious Ways. In the TV show Reaper she played Mrs. Oliver. Deanna Campbell is also the mother of Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester's maternal grandma.
