Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, has been known for her roles in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in the fields of theater, film and television. Her acting journey began with theater, and was later featured in several television series and independent and mainstream movies. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and a variety of nominations and awards including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Apart from the Broadway production Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her role in the series Men of Honor, the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Her most well-known role is her role on ABC's crime show High Incident.
